The International Journal of Social Business (IJSB) is an international scholarly journal dedicated to research on social business, social entrepreneurship, sustainability, innovation, responsible business, social impact, and related interdisciplinary fields.
The journal was established with the approval of Professor Muhammad Yunus in 2016 and first published in 2018. IJSB is now being relaunched with a renewed focus on high-quality academic publishing and international collaboration.

Authors are normally required to submit:
An anonymized manuscript in .docx format
A separate title page containing author information
Required authorship, ethics, conflict-of-interest, and AI-use declarations

Yes.
IJSB normally uses a double-blind peer-review process, meaning that reviewers do not normally know the identity of the authors and authors do not know the identity of reviewers.
Manuscripts first undergo editorial screening before being sent for external peer review.

IJSB aims to complete the initial peer-review process within approximately 4–8 weeks.
Actual processing time may vary depending on:

Reviewer recommendations are advisory, and the final editorial decision is made by the responsible editor.

IJSB does not charge authors for submitting a manuscript or for normal peer review.

The current standard APC is:

The APC is payable only after a manuscript has successfully completed the editorial and peer-review process and has been formally accepted for publication.
Payment does not guarantee acceptance and does not influence editorial decisions.

Discounts or waivers may be considered in appropriate circumstances.
Current planned support includes:
Up to 25% discount for eligible editorial members and reviewers
Approximately 10–25% discount for eligible authors from developing-country contexts, self-funded researchers, or students, depending on circumstances
Requests are considered separately from the academic evaluation of the manuscript.

IJSB does not accept payment in exchange for:
Guaranteed acceptance
Favorable peer review
A favorable editorial decision
Bypassing the normal peer-review process
All manuscripts are evaluated according to scholarly and editorial criteria.
13. Can authors use generative AI tools?

Authors may use generative AI or AI-assisted tools where appropriate, but AI systems cannot be listed as authors or co-authors.
Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, references, data, and conclusions of their manuscript.
Material use of generative AI should be appropriately disclosed during submission.
Fabricated references, invented data, misleading AI-generated content, or undisclosed inappropriate use of AI may result in rejection or other editorial action.

IJSB may use plagiarism or similarity-detection tools during editorial assessment.
A similarity score alone does not automatically determine plagiarism. Editors will assess the nature and context of any identified overlap.
Plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, duplicate publication, and other forms of research misconduct are not acceptable.

No.
A manuscript submitted to IJSB must not be simultaneously under consideration by another journal.
Authors must also disclose closely related previously published or submitted work where relevant.

Yes.
However, submissions from editors or editorial board members must be handled independently by another qualified editor.
The submitting editor or board member must not participate in reviewer selection or the final editorial decision.

The upcoming issue is currently expected to be published in December 2026, subject to completion of peer review, revision, editing, and production.
